Concrete Concept+

Concrete Concept takes architecture admirers on a tour of the world’s most impressive, celebrated and controversial brutalist buildings. We wanted to book itself to conform to the brutalist aesthetic and so we conceived it as a solid slab of concrete. The book is a standard paperback but with extra thick boards glued to the front and back. These boards were wrapped with a photograph of a concrete wall, given a course textured finish and the title was deeply debossed into the front cover. The final binding was then guillotined on three edges to expose the book’s construction. Concrete Concept is published by Frances Lincoln.
