St Mary le Bow+
Christopher Wren’s St Mary le Bow church in the City of London is steeped in history. It features in the nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons and houses the Bow Bells, whose peals encouraged Dick Whittington to ‘turn back’ and whose range defines the area within which true Cockneys are born. To help promote the church and market its varied events, Untitled was asked to create a visual identity that was contemporary yet respectful of its heritage. We designed a modern, distinctive logotype and stationery that plays on the church’s most interesting historical points. We also developed new exterior wooden sign-boxes and provided templates for the events posters displayed inside them.
